Gabi Volak

I joined IOD Parc in 2023 as a researcher and work in our migration workstream. My thematic areas of interest are human rights, refugee inclusion and forced migration. I completed an MA in Human Rights at UCL, with my dissertation investigating the conflict of rights between conservation parks and local communities in Kenya.

In my current role I conduct contextual research and data analysis, which is supported by my background in qualitative research methods. I also support the ongoing evaluation projects within the Supporting Points of Change in the Aid System Team, including analysing data and document reviews.

Before joining IOD Parc, I worked at several NGOs including Freedom from Torture, MSF and an Afghan association working in logistics, admin, and youth work. I have a solid understanding of the operations of large international and national non-governmental organisations.
