All IOD PARC consultants are given the opportunity to gain the recognised Professional Standard of the Chartered Management Consultant Award (MCMI ChMC) supported and managed by CMI and the MCA.
As an organisation, IOD PARC is committed to supporting all our staff as they develop throughout their careers. As such, we provide an accredited framework to support our consulting staff to reflect upon and improve their practice is part of this commitment, in conjunction with building their technical skills in their thematic areas of interest. The Award allows them to understand how their work relates to others in the consulting field outside of international development, and to understand what makes a difference within our internal processes, such as project management and client relations.
Gaining accreditation allows our staff to showcase their expertise and experience, and demonstrates our professionalism to our clients and partners. The Chartered Management Consultant Award was created in a partnership between the MCA, Management Consultancies Association, the trade association for the UK’s leading consulting firms and CMI, Chartered Management Institute, which was appointed by the Privy Council as the Awarding Body. “The Chartered Management accreditation process was hugely helpful for me to critically consider my role as a consultant. It supported me to reflect on my leadership style and the way I engage with and support clients, as well as ways in which I can continue to grow the peacebuilding portfolio. It is also helpful in terms of on-going personal and professional development.” – Sarah Bolger, Senior Consultant
