I am a peace, conflict and gender specialist and lead IOD PARC’s peacebuilding portfolio. I am a triple nexus expert and also have extensive experience in the links between conflict and migration; inclusive mediation; conflict prevention; post-conflict transition; UNSCR1325 (Women, Peace and Security) and international humanitarian law (IHL). I work with a variety of UN and multilateral organisations, Ministries of Foreign Affairs and international and national NGOs. I am a Chartered Management Consultant and a member of the UNDP M&E Sandbox, an informal network of practitioners working in M&E designed to explore innovative approaches for agile learning and adaptation.

Before joining IOD PARC, I lived and worked in East Africa for over 5 years as the Regional Programme Director for an African-based organization focused on community development, gender and livelihoods. I have also worked in the Conflict Resolution Unit within the Irish Ministry for Foreign Affairs; as an external consultant for the Zanzibar Institute for Research and Public Policy and on an academic conflict mediation project at the School of Law and Government, DCU. I hold a first class MA in International Conflict and Security, and speak fluent French, German and Swahili.
