I am an experienced evaluator and organisation development consultant, drawing on over 20 years of work in my role as Company Director & Principal Consultant at IOD PARC. My evaluative practice focuses on equipping individuals, teams and organisations with rigorously derived evidence and technically sound guidance to inform both strategic and operational decision making to improve performance throughout Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

My recent work has included strengthening the results reporting system in the UN Offices for Project Services; a whole-of-organisation evaluability assessment and formative evaluation of the UN Children’s Fund to deliver it’s Strategic Plan; evaluating strategic partnership engagement with a global health foundation; assessing innovative funding modalities in response to COVID-19; evaluating a regional Development Bank operating model; and a range of organisational performance assessments of multilateral organisations, including specialised UN agencies. I have experience in delivering a range of evaluations with respect to purpose (summative, formative; for accountability, for learning), evaluation object (project, programme, strategy, policy, method), part of the results chain considered (process, output, outcome or impact), timing (mid-term, end of programme, ex-post) and approach (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, realist, theory-based, etc). All my work is undertaken in line with the principles of utilisation-focused evaluation.

As an organisation development practitioner, I design and facilitate interventions that enable organisations to improve their effectiveness and, working with internal change agents, increase their ability to coach, consult and lead organisational change. I undertake institutional appraisals, learning and development interventions, transition management, support to or from decentralised organisational structures, performance assessments and strategy development. I carry out my work using a wide variety of approaches that are creative and engaging, aimed at getting the best from organisations and their staff whilst increasing their self-awareness. I continuously develop my professional skills most recently including being accredited a Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC) alongside CMI Chartered Manager Fellow status (CMgr FCMI). Other professional qualifications include CIPD Advanced and Fundamentals of Employment Law, Practitioner of Group Analysis, Performance and Positive Impact Coaching and CIPD Identification and Analysis of Training Needs, Training Design and Delivery. I hold a Masters of Organisation Development & Consultancy.
