I am a Director and Principal Consultant at IOD PARC, and I established and formerly led our Migration Workstream (2019-2025). I have over 17 years of experience working on migration and refugee issues and have a strong interest in the overlap between displacement and gender, protection, and livelihoods; and in the programming implications of addressing protracted humanitarian crises. My work has global focus with specialism in the Middle East and North Africa region and Europe. My recent clients include WFP, IMF, UNRWA, UNHCR, IOM, UNICEF, the European Commission, Qatar Fund for Development, GIZ, Danish Red Cross, Danish Refugee Council, Verité and Amnesty International.
I have extensive experience in leading and managing cross-regional and multi-country assignments at strategic, programme and project levels; in the provision of technical expertise on forced displacement, humanitarian response and migration management integrating participatory methods and cross-cutting issues of gender, disability, social inclusion, and protection; and in the design and application of research methodologies and processes. I am an accredited Chartered Management Consultant by the UK Chartered Management Institute (MCMI ChMC), and I hold a PhD in Politics and International Relations from the University of Edinburgh. I am fluent in Spanish, English, and Arabic.
