Our policies

We conduct our business in line with UK law and good governance practice. Our statutory and governance policies are reviewed annually and apply to everyone who works with us — staff, associates, subcontractors, partners and suppliers.

We are committed to an anti-fraud culture and to keeping the opportunities for fraud, bribery and corruption to an absolute minimum. The policy sets out the responsibilities of specific roles, our approach to risk assessment, management and internal controls, and protects anyone who reports known or suspected wrongdoing from retaliation.

Our Ethical Code of Conduct for fieldwork is based on international best practice, drawing on a UNICEF guide developed through a participatory process. We treat ‘fieldwork’ as any activity outside the office and/or involving contact with stakeholders.

We recognise that the Earth is in a climate crisis and are committed to minimising the negative environmental impact of our operations and reducing our contribution to climate change. A standing Climate Crisis Team researches policy options to inform decisions, influence thinking and drive change — with our suppliers, clients and partners.

The International Aid Transparency Initiative improves the transparency of development and humanitarian resources and their results. At IOD PARC, we report to IATI quarterly for FCDO (formerly DFID) funded projects.

How we collect, use and protect personal data. Our full Privacy Policy is published on the main IOD PARC website.

Forming part of the terms of working with us as a sub-contractor, our Supplier Code of Conduct sets out what we expect of suppliers — covering ethics, data protection and privacy, working environment, safeguarding, environment, health and safety, and governance.

We are committed to delivering our work in a safe and protective manner, preventing harm, exploitation and abuse as far as reasonably possible and responding effectively to any reported cases. It applies to all Representatives, within and outside working hours.

IOD PARC is proud to be a participating member of the UN Global Compact — the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

We are committed to gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, and are a signatory to the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), an initiative of the UN Global Compact and UN Women.

Our Whistleblower Policy enables and encourages Representatives to raise genuine concerns about possible wrongdoing without fear of reprisal. We operate a zero-tolerance approach to retaliation, and concerns can be raised confidentially.
