Profile

Sonia is a Senior Consultant and evaluator with a background in public health and development. She is thus familiar global health policies, programmes and the health-related Sustainable Development Goals, particularly on thematic areas such as WASH, infectious and non-communicable disease, and migrant health. Sonia is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Chartered Geographer (CGeog), a Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC) and the Immediate Past President of the Rotary E-Club of WASH.

As a core member of IOD PARC’s Health workstream, Sonia works predominantly on formative and summative project evaluations, Country Programme evaluations and organisational effectiveness assessments for UN bodies and multilateral organisations including the Global Fund, UNICEF, UNFPA, WHO and the World Bank. She also serves as the organisation's Safeguarding Focal Point and Mental First Aider as well as leading the IATI Task Team.

Before joining IOD PARC, Sonia worked for various UK-based charities and NGOs, having studied Geography and International Development at the University of Northampton and completed a Master of Public Health and International Development at the University of Sheffield.
