Sarah leads IOD PARC's Peacebuilding and Diplomacy practice. A triple nexus expert, Sarah works on the links between conflict and forced displacement, inclusive mediation, conflict prevention, post-conflict transition, Women, Peace and Security (UNSCR 1325) and international humanitarian law (IHL) for UN and multilateral organisations, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, and international and national NGOs. She also leads IOD PARC's work on Ukraine, working closely with Ukrainian partners and associates. She applies a gender and inclusion lens to all her work.

Sarah developed the Theory of Influence method to support her diplomacy and peacebuilding work. She is a Chartered Management Consultant and a member of the UNDP M&E Sandbox, an informal practitioner network exploring innovative approaches for agile learning and adaptation.

Before joining IOD PARC, Sarah lived and worked in East Africa for over five years as Regional Programme Director for an African-based organisation focused on community development, gender and livelihoods. Prior to this, she worked in the Conflict Resolution Unit of the Irish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, as an external consultant for the Zanzibar Institute for Research and Public Policy, and on a conflict mediation project at the School of Law and Government, DCU. Sarah holds a first-class MA in International Conflict and Security.
