Phalina leads project finance and contracts, with robust knowledge of finance and accounting principles, taxation, cash flow management, budgeting, internal control, risk management and compliance - expertise built through managing project budgets and contracts for multilateral organisations, multi-donor trust funds, bilateral agencies, NGOs, foundations and private sector organisations.

Phalina's work pairs systems discipline with people leadership: leading, training and supervising the Nepal-based finance team, supporting the professional development of team members, resolving associate and client queries, claims, and disputes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting, quarterly accounts, budgeting and cash management across a broad portfolio of projects.

Phalina is pursuing a Master of Research, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and evidence-based practice. She holds master's degrees in Business Management and Rural Development, the latter inspired by the substance of IOD PARC's work.
