Joe Watkins

Joe is part of IOD PARC’s climate and environment portfolio team. Since joining in 2020, Joe has moved from Researcher and Junior Evaluator through to current Team Leader and Lead Evaluator roles.

Joe's interest lies in the nexus between climate change, migration and development. It was the subject of his research on climate-induced migration in the Pacific, examining migration as a climate change adaptation strategy. That interest informs assignments with multilateral, bilateral and NGO clients across climate change, migration and refugees.

Joe has extensive experience in data collection, analysis and visualisation, and leads IOD PARC's use of MAXQDA as a qualitative analysis tool. Joe has applied methodologies such as outcome harvesting and contribution analysis across a range of contexts to evaluate complex influencing, advocacy and other programming.
