Ima's work centres on forced displacement and the triple nexus in fragile and conflict-affected settings. She is particularly interested in systems strengthening and transitions from humanitarian responses to development-led approaches. She brings a participatory, transformative lens to complex evaluation, asking not just whether programmes work but who gets to shape and judge them.
Ima’s work in global with a strong focus in MENA and sub-Saharan Africa. Her clients range from UNHCR, WFP, UNRWA, UNICEF and IOM to multilateral development banks.
Before IOD PARC, Ima worked in public sector management consulting and migration governance. She holds a BA from Oxford and an MSc in International and European Politics from Edinburgh.
