I am a senior consultant specialising in the nexus between conflict and development. I also have a strong interest in partnerships, gender and health, including how these fit within the nexus. With over 9 years’ experience in international development, I have worked with multilateral organisations, national and international NGOs and civil society groups, including the African Development Bank; the Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network; the Global Alliance for Vaccination and Immunization; the British Council and the Danish Red Cross.
My consultancy work includes conducting evaluations, capacity building and organisational development. My approach is highly collaborative and participatory, working alongside clients across a range of technical and thematic areas.
Before joining IOD PARC, I worked in East Africa for over 5 years as Regional Director for Development for an African-based organisation focused on community development, gender and public health. I have also worked in the Conflict Resolution Unit within the Irish Ministry for Foreign Affairs; as an external consultant for the Zanzibar Institute for Research and Public Policy and on an academic conflict mediation project at the School of Law and Government, DCU. I have a first class MA in International Conflict and Security, where I came first in my class.
I speak fluent French and Swahili.
