Joy McCarron

Researcher

As part of my degree, I have been able to gain experience in international cooperation projects design and management. I worked along the national team of Lawyers without Borders to build a diagnosis and conduct research on the issue of gender-based violence in Burkina Faso and Guinea. This experience allowed me to gain better knowledge of project management tools and on how to work within a logical framework approach. I also have experience in designing responses to calls for bids from the European Commission on the topic of Inclusive and Sustainable Value Chains and Food Fortification in developing countries and practical experience on project and budget proposals design as well as in health and nutrition issues in Africa and more specifically Madagascar.

I have very good knowledge of gender-based violence-related issues with experiences working with survivors of GBV and asylum seekers in both direct services and case management as well as research and data analysis, I have a good understanding of the needs and challenges organisations tackling gender equality issues are facing.

I am providing the Systems and Complex Evaluation Portfolio team with support on various projects dealing with context research and data analysis.
