The Global Partnership for Education works in 67 countries to strengthen education systems and has an annual grant portfolio of around USD400 million.

IOD PARC supported the GPE Secretariat in undertaking a review of how effectively GPE was working as a partnership at national and global level. This work involved the design and facilitation of global consultation processes and technical organisation development support to GPE on how to clarify roles, responsibilities, authorities, accountabilities, resourcing, and risk.

IOD PARC is now providing technical support in the design and ‘stress testing’ of new partnership assessment tools at a country level.

The suggested changes and plan for implementation following the review were approved by the GPE board and are now being taken further by the GPE secretariat with continued IOD PARC support.
