I am IOD PARC’s Finance & Contracts Manager, heading and managing a team within our wider business support function with fifteen years of experience. My main focus is on financial management & internal control systems including cash flow management & forecasting, which contribute to the production of quarterly management information for our executive team and stakeholders. I have a keen interest in as well as a good understanding of financial risks and operating requirements in managing large consultancy contracts and advise the executive management as required.
Within my role at IOD PARC, I oversee the sales and purchase ledgers on a regular basis, assess current and future cash flows, manage employee payroll and company expenses as well as communicate with our contract officers in relation to ‘work in progress’ and future invoicing points on our active client consultancy contracts.
Occasionally, I do consultancy work where my skills and experience can be of relevance. Past examples include some financial work on an evaluation assesment of a DFAT governance programme in PNG as well as providing finance training to implementers of a Scottish Government programme in Malawi.
Before joining IOD PARC, I graduated with a Masters Degree in Business & IT from Aston University while holding a finance administration role in the finance department of an NHS hospital. I also have a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting & Finance from De Montfort University.:
