The European Investment Bank (EIB) commissioned IOD PARC to provide support in rolling out a tailored and flexible approach to measuring gender specific results by the end of 2019.

The EIB sought to provide sex disaggregated data on final beneficiaries and employment created and sustained, as well as the ability to report gender-specific results by 2021. IOD PARC’s assignment focused on the EIB and its non-EU operations, building on its existing systems, procedures, and the non-EU Results Monitoring Framework (REM) seeking to enhance these where needed

The IOD PARC consultancy team reviewed existing EIB systems and procedures and identified good practice at peer institutions before using the evidence to propose and develop a practical and suitable gender result measuring approach for the EIB. In addition to results measurements, a system was developed to allow the EIB to identify operations that contribute to gender equality and women’s economic empowerment.
