Kristin Olsen //
I am a natural resources and community development specialist experienced in supporting communities to determine pathways to sustainable natural resource management in developing countries and in the UK. My approach brings together a strong background in participatory processes and an academic and professional grounding in the natural resources sector. I have expertise in effectively assimilating and communicating knowledge and best practice towards developing robust management, planning and delivery processes, training programmes, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
I have worked with donors, NGOs, CSOs and academic institutions worldwide on M&E, research, forest and wildlife management and policy, and training in Central Africa, South East and Central Asia and the UK. My experience includes managing and implementing the first Community Forestry and Reforestation Project in Uzbekistan over 2 years, with UNDP, and working as the Development Officer for Reforesting Scotland, a dynamic Scottish NGO dedicated to restoring Scotland’s forests and communities.
